How To Choose A Shower Door? Here’s How It

Shower Doors create dry and wet areas for bathrooms, which keep tile dry areas from softening and slippery. A good shower enclosure will be a part of your life for years to come, so how to choose the right shower door for small shower? Here are some tips for your reference.

1. Framed or Frameless
The framed door has an aluminum frame mounted to the edge of the glass door panel which adds structure to the glass for solid operation.

A frameless version made of thicker and thicker glass to eliminate the need for structural framing. But they look sleek, easier to clean because there are no trash bins to collect and eliminate visual disturbances. The average house will have a framed shower door but becoming very popular is a sophisticated frameless shower door.

2. Swing or Slide
When choosing a shower door, it is also important to choose the correct door installation. Two main bathroom door installations are sliding doors or swinging shower doors. If your bathroom is small or crowded, sliding doors will provide more bathrooms. A swinging shower door or pivot is made for a larger bathroom or requires a corner shower.

3. Select the glass
All glass doors and covers must be made of tempered glass, which is stronger than standard glass and, if broken, will break into small round pieces. The minimum thickness for a frameless shower door is 8mm or 10mm, 12mm is rarely done, but depends on your needs. Most shower doors offer an opaque or patterned style. More commonly chosen is clear glass for its clean and open appeal.

4. Measure the bathroom door
Measure the width, we need to know three different places: Top, Middle, and Bottom, use the largest size for the width of your bathroom door. Measure the height from the bottom to the top of the area that you want to attach. The best deviation is the nearest 2mm.

5. Bathroom Accessories
Framed shower doors only need an aluminum frame, rollers, and glass door handles. Frameless shower doors can be more choices, swing doors can choose hinges or pivot hinges, while sliding doors, different sliding glass door hardware sets can be chosen.
